What is HANA Persistent Storage?

The SAP HANA database holds the bulk of its data in memory for maximum performance, but still uses
persistent storage to provide a fallback in case of failure.During normal operation of the database, data is automatically saved from memory to disk at regular savepoints.Additionally, all data changes are captured in the log. The log is saved from memory to disk after each committed database transaction.
