What is HANA Configuration File ?


HANA Configuration File:

The configuration files (.ini files) contains the SAP HANA database configuration settings.
The configuration files are not backed up as part of the database backup. Configuration files that contain customer-specific changes can be backed up manually in order to more easily  identify and restore customer-specific changes in a recovery situation.

Types of Configuration Files in HANA:
Global Config Files (located in $(DIR_INSTANCE)/../SYS/global/hdb/custom/config )
global.ini
indexserver.ini
nameserver.ini
Host Specifi Files (located in $(SAP_RETRIEVAL_PATH)  )

daemon.ini
sapprofile.ini


Note:

To display the configuration values, go to the Configuration tab in SAP HANA studio.
